The Eagles are flying high right now. This should be no surprise with LeGarrette Blount. Blount is making these Eagles high right now. They’re almost as high as Troy Aikman was when Dallas played in Denver a few weeks ago. If you don’t believe me then go google it. That dude was blazed. Carson is wentzing it up right now. He went for 222 yards with 16 completions on 30 passes. But what stands out were his 3 touchdowns without a pick. He let Cam Newton be in charge of all interceptions. Side note someone should definitely ask him about Funchess running routes again. That was pure gold. One of the main reasons the Eagles are winning right now is because they aren’t coughing up the ball as much. Wentz struggled last season with interceptions. If he can keep that under control the rest of the season he could make a strong case for the MVP award. He currently sits at second in the NFL in passing yards and tied for first in passing touchdowns. Wentz is also leading the NFL in jersey sales right now. I know you didn’t ask for that useless piece of info but I felt like you needed it anyway. The Eagles are 5-1 right now mostly due to Wentz. Not bad for the former Bison. It might not stay that way after this week, but it’s fun to have those few moments while they’re there.
Currently the Eagles are easily the favorite in the NFC. If you try to dispute that I’m sorry but I hate you and you wear a helmet to sleep. I wasn’t sold on the Eagles at the start of the season. But so far they’ve played the best week in and week out with the exception of Kansas City (the best AFC team right now & Philly’s only loss) and that turns a lot of heads. With Aaron Rodgers not having a collarbone anymore the door just swung wide open. But in reality the entire NFC is up for grabs. Takeaway Philly and who is the favorite? Minnesota? Carolina? LA? There really isn’t one. The Eagles have the top seed currently. They’re remaining schedule isn’t easy so it will be interesting. Will the Eagles have a repeat of last season? Last season we all thought Carson Wentz was the next saving grace. Then the Eagles went 8-8 after starting 3-0. Maybe this year will be different though. Philly’s offense is tearing it up right now. They’re one of the most productive teams in the league right now. If they can keep it up the defense (which is their weak spot) won’t have to do as much heavy lifting. That’s good for Philly. Wentz has been the heart of their success so far this season and he’s going to continue to be their meal ticket. I like the Eagles right now. They look dangerous. But they’re going to have to keep it up if they want any chance of making a deep run. With the Giants entire organization on Injured Reserve, the Redskins still being the Redskins and Dallas lacking some luster the division is up for grabs. Philly is already making the most of it.
Philly has Washington tonight. I’ll take Philly and I see them winning 26-17 over Kirk Cousins and the Redskins.
