Viktor Axelsen is Rolling After Day 2 of the BWF World Tour Finals

The Danish Delight picked right up where he left off yesterday going into the second day of Group Play at the BWF World Tour Finals. In the second group play match, Axelsen faced off with Malaysia’s Lee Zii Jia. Axelsen would win the match 2-0 (21-15, 21-4), winning the second game in convincing fashion. The Danish Delight dominated the stat sheet against Jia, doubling the amount of rallies won (42-19) as well scoring 12 consecutive points at one point in the match. Axelsen is the hottest player in the tournament right now, and he’ll need to keep it going if he wants to move back to first in the BWF world rankings. He currently sits ranked fourth in the world. I don’t know how much I know about Badminton yet. But what I do know, is the Danish Delight is torching his competition right now. Will this hot play keep up? Everyone in the BWF seems to think so. Day 3 of Group Play starts at 11 PM eastern time so we’ll know in a few hours. See you guys in Bangkok.
