Super Bowl 55 Predictions

One more day to until the promised land. Super Bowl LV (55) is almost here. Tampa Bay VS Kansas City. The defending champs against the hometown Buccaneers. Tampa Bay hasn’t been here since the famed Jon Gruden led the Bucs over the Raiders in an absolute thrashing back in 2003.

The Chiefs opened up as the favorite for the second straight year. And it makes sense based on how they played in the AFC Championship. They are the better team. That’s not a question up for debate. But the better team doesn’t always prevail on the big stage. Last year, the Chiefs opened up as the early favorites against the San Francisco 49ers. And they prevailed. However, in recent history, the majority of the teams that open up as the early favorite do not end up winning the big game. This Tampa Bay team has caught just about every single break you could ask for this season. And the Chiefs only start playing when it actually matters. This game really does feel like a shot in the dark here. If Kansas City plays at their level, I think Mahomes & Andy Reid get their second straight Super Bowl victory, but you can’t rule out Father Time and his Buccaneers. That Tampa Bay pass rush has been effective so far in the playoffs, and I think that’s the key for Tampa. However, no team that Tampa Bay faced had weapons like the Chiefs. Tyreke Hill can explode out of nowhere and Travis Kelce is pretty much unguardable. I think this game is probably going to have a good bit of scoring. I like the over in this matchup. Tampa definitely has a leg up regarding the fact that they are in their hometown. That means they don’t have to travel, or deal with any of the stress that comes with it. But overall, I think the Chiefs are still the ticket here. They won as the favorite last year. I think they can do it again. But in all honesty, if you have a magic 8 ball, now is definitely the time to break it out.

Kansas City- 38

Tampa Bay- 35
