Premier Lacrosse League Expansion Draft Set For March 11th

The Premier Lacrosse League is about ready to get their season going. First on the agenda is the expansion draft for the newly acquired PLL team, the Cannons Lacrosse Club (formerly MLL Boston Cannons). The existing PLL teams are allowed to protect 14 of their players (13 field players & 1 goalie). Those existing teams have until March 1st to send out their protected player roster.

The draft will consist of 18 rounds and existing PLL teams are allowed to select a max of 3 players.

The PLL Entry Draft will take place on March 25th, and it will also be three rounds. The Cannons LC will have the first overall pick in the Entry Draft. The remaining order will be determined by the lottery system.

A few weeks after the Entry Draft, the College Draft will take place on April 6th. The College Draft will be a total of four rounds. The Atlas will have the first overall pick in the College Draft. The entire order for the first round can be found below.
