It’s a matchup we’ve seen before. These teams played each other once already this season, with the Lakers coming out on top 114-93. We should be lucky that this game is on Valentine’s Day, because it’s a lovers affair like no other. Is it Denver’s time? Was Bubble Murray just a façade? Can they show everyone they have what it takes to be the bride, not just the lowly bridesmaid? They have been in good form lately, and the Joker is playing like the MVP-caliber player he is averaging nearly 27 points, 11 rebounds and 8.6 assists per game. Anthony Davis is back in the rotation, and the King is in full swing. The Lake Show is trying to get their 8th straight victory, and continue their dominance on the road. The Nuggs have their work cut out for them. Arguably the top two players in the MVP race are going at it tonight, but I have to think LA is the favorite, even though it’s a slim margin. The last time the Lakers beat a team above .500 it was against the Nuggets on February 4th. I think if the Lakers play like they have been the past week they’ll be victorious tonight. I do think the Nuggets will have a lead at some point in the third or fourth quarter, but Los Angeles can get a run going like nobody’s business. I say the Joker is gonna have a good showing, but the night will belong to the Lake Show. Let’s find out together.
