I definitely don’t think Miami thought this is where they would be at this point in the season. They’re sitting at 10th in the eastern conference right now, and there hasn’t been much upside so far this season. Right now, their record is 12-17, but there is a silver lining. The majority of the league is struggling right now, especially the east. The Heat are only a few games out of the 8th seed at the moment (currently occupied by the Charlotte Hornets), and there’s enough season left to get something going. While I do think Jimmy Buckets can raise the Miami morale, I don’t think the Heat will tonight, based on how they have been playing recently. But the Lakers haven’t been to hot recently either. The only difference is when the Lakers play up their potential, they’re the best team in the league. Are we gonna see that Lakers team tonight? I don’t know. Maybe glimpses. At this point it feels like a coin toss for every game.
I still think LeBron drops 30 tonight. But if he doesn’t end up with 30 points, I think he’ll have at least 10 assists.
