If you don’t enjoy minigolf, then you aren’t a true golf purist. No two ways about it. Minigolf can be just as competitive, if not more. The minigolf players on tour are incredibly good, and they can get a ton of hole-in-ones per round. They pretty much have to if they want to win. But a lot of people scoff at those who play minigolf on the professional level. But in all reality, it’s something that they’re passionate about, it doesn’t harm anyone and they play at an immensely high level. People joke, but how many of them could go out and win a pro minigolf event. It’s a lot harder than it seems. These guys practice, and they put in hours and hours. There’s a reason they’re dropping aces like blackjack dealers out there. But all that being said, you probably can’t say you play minigolf professionally without cracking a smile. But hey, these people play minigolf, and they get paid for it. Sounds pretty sweet to me. The United States Pro MiniGolf Association (USPMGA) is the premiere league for minigolf at the professional level in America. They have majors, with the US Open and Masters. The USPMGA Masters is played in Myrtle Beach, SC every year, with the US Open being played at various venues across America. Last year, the US Open was cancelled. This year, it will be played in Cape Coral, Florida from April 9th-10th. It will be played at Gator Mike’s Family Fun Park and will last 7 rounds, until a national champion is crowned.
