Tuesday Night Luka Reminded Everyone Why He’s ‘Cool Hand Luka’

This guy has been doing this for years now, whether it be the Euroleague or the NBA. This time, Don Cheech’s victim was the Boston Celtics. He just looks so calm amidst the storm, and it’s so impressive considering he’s only a few days shy of his 22nd birthday. With 5 seconds left, Doncic takes the ball up the court and gets right to his spot and drains a 3-ball like it was a scrimmage. It almost looked easy for him. It’s almost like he’s been doing this to guys for the better half of a decade now. I think a lot of people forget he played professionally in Europe before entering the NBA. This guy is just cold-blooded, and he really does have ice in his veins.

Doncic didn’t just have a game-winner, he had a stellar night’s performance. He ended with 31 points on 48% shooting (75% from the three), 10 rebounds and eight assists. Jalen Brunson, Josh Richardson, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Boban Marjanovic all finished in double-digits, with Brunson also shooting over 70% from beyond the arc.

The Celtics Big Three (Kemba Walker, Jalen Brown and Jayson Tatum) went for 78 points all together on 48% shooting collectively (73% of the total scoring from Boston). A poor shooting night from the 3-point line proved to be the difference for Boston, as they only shot 12/39 from deep.

Unfortunately for Boston, Cool Hand Luka was on full display Tuesday night. Add it to the ongoing list of crazy game-winners Donic has had while playing professional basketball. This guy really just does this for a living.

After this we should’ve realized what we were dealing with

Same spot he hit the game-winner against Boston

I don’t know about you, but I’m beyond excited to get to see this for the next decade or so. This guy will win the MVP before he turns 25, mark my words.

Does this look like the kind of cold-blooded killer who would break your ankles and then nail a game-winning dagger right in your heart?
