How did I not see this was going on?!?!? I am a die-hard lifelong fan of the BWF, but I had no idea this tournament was going on until the championship. I tried to find coverage on it, but to no avail, Maybe I didn’t look hard enough. If that’s the case, foul on me. But it’s my duty to bring the hard-hitting news you deserve. I couldn’t find any streams, and it was truly saddening. Apparently the courts look way cooler in Uganda, which makes sense. But I guess I’ll never know.
Varun Kapur won his finals match in thrilling fashion (21-18, 16-21, 21-17) over seventh-seed Sankar Muthusamy. It was an all Indian final in Kampala, but Varun vacuumed up the competition. Varun Kapur is the junior World No. 2 player, and he played like it earlier. After dropping the second game, Kapur would go on to comfortably win the final game, taking the gold.

With the YONEX Swiss Open only merely hours away, our focus will be shifted back to the Danish Delight, as he tries to get back on track. But don’t let that stop you from enjoying Kapur’s Uganda Internationals championship victory.
