The Premier Lacrosse League is Coming to NBC’s Peacock

Good news for lacrosse fans everywhere. Peacock will be the exclusive streaming service for the upcoming PLL season. That’s right, every game live and commercial-free. There will be an additional 23 games available for all Peacock Premium users. There will also be access to encore viewings of last summer’s entire PLL Championship Series. For those that don’t have Peacock, watching The Office and Modern Family commercial-free is enough for the premium subscription. They also have other live sports besides lacrosse, and they offer a decent selection of movies.

All in all, this a step in the right direction for a young league like the PLL. It’ll be great to help promote the sport itself as well as the league. Lacrosse is the oldest sport in North American history, yet its popularity is nowhere near some sports like basketball or football. This will be a great way to help the popularity of the sport for everyone, including Peacock. Adding exclusive access to a league like the PLL will also help them expand their regions, and hopefully improve as a streaming service (which they need to do).

Unfortunately, all LAX fans will have to wait a bit, as the PLL season won’t start until June. But let’s count down the days anyways.
