On this day last year, the NCAA men’s basketball tournament was cancelled for the first time in history. Since its inception in 1939, March Madness has always taken place; until the coronavirus happened. The global pandemic shut down almost every sports league in the world (except for the NASRTTHA) last year around this time. Thankfully, March Madness will be taking place this year, and conference tournaments have already been heating up.
But in all seriousness, why even call it March Madness if the tournament isn’t taking place during all of March. You don’t just get to use alliteration for nothing. Do better NCAA.
