Why Even Call it March Madness if it’s Not During All of March and it Ends in April?

Some could argue the pandemic is the reason for this, but they would be wrong. I don’t remember a time in recent memory when the tournament started in the first week of March, if it has. But that I kind of understand that, because the scheduling is set like that. If the tournament doesn’t start until the second week of March hey that’s alright; as long as it ends before April starts. Isn’t that the whole point of it being March Madness? Otherwise it should be renamed to Part-of-March-into-April Madness. The NCAA is bad enough already, but letting them get away with this crosses a line. It’s the principle of the matter. The NCAA is notorious about holding people accountable for ridiculous reasons. They need to take responsibility for this madness (pun intended). I don’t care if they need to reschedule the entire season in order to fix it. But if they wanna call it March Madness, the entire tourney should take place in March. That’s a no brainer. It’s just frustrating, plain and simple. I can’t enjoy April Fools Day if I’m worried about watching the Final Four or NCAA Championship. It’s been going on for a long while now, and the NCAA has remained unchecked. Forget about reefer madness, this is the madness that needs to end.
