It’s official. We are living in a simulation. There’s no other way to put it. The Chiefs blew a three possession lead. The Cincinnati Bengals are going to Super Bowl LVI (56). The Bengals also tied the Indianapolis Colts for largest comeback in AFC/NFC Championship game history. The Colts were down to the Patriots 21-3 in the second quarter of the 2006 AFC Championship and came back to win 38-34. Cincinnati was also down 18 points to the Kansas City Chiefs at one point in the first half, but that wasn’t stopping them. Joe Burrow and co. went to work. Samaje Perine got things going with a huge 41-yard touchdown that cut the deficit to 11 right before halftime. But hats off to the Bengals defense for stepping up BIG TIME towards the end of the game. The Bengals forced the Chiefs to kick a field goal just to send the game into OT, and they would’ve won outright if the they had been able to recover that fumble on third & goal. Then came the coin toss.

Here we go again. Kansas City is about to win another OT game just because they won the coin toss. Nope. Jessie Bates III and Vonn Bell gave Patrick Mahomes a 2-for-1 special and forced a turnover at midfield. Little bit of this, little bit of that, and what do you know? The Cincinnati Bengals are going to the Super Bowl.

Whatever simulation we’re living it, I want a software update.

*Fun Fact* No team has ever won back-to-back Postseason OT games.
