The Rams are Going Back to the Super Bowl

Well we all know it’s hard to beat a team three times in a single season. The LA Rams hadn’t beat the San Francisco 49ers in six straight outings, and a lot of people though today might be number seven. This was also Matt Stafford’s first time on a stage this big, and you can’t say he disappointed. Neither did his supporting cast. Cooper Kupp and Odell Beckham Jr. went crazy combining for 20 receptions and 255 receiving yards at nearly 13 yards per catch. Matt Stafford had 31 completions and 337 passing yards total. OBJ and CK made up for 65% of his receptions and 75% of his passing yards. Kupp also caught both TD passes Stafford threw. Crazy.

Especially when you think about what everyone said about OBJ for the majority of his career. But now him and Stafford are both on legit title contender teams, and it’s paying off big time. Can’t forget about Sean McVay either. It’s his second trip to the big dance in his 5th season with the Rams. And a lot of people though their first trip would be his only one. Oh how the turntables.

The Rams were up 17-7 going into the fourth quarter, and things were looking like they might turn around for LA. After scoring a touchdown a couple minutes into the final period, LA found themselves only down one possession. A couple right plays later, LA found themselves tied 17-17. San Francisco couldn’t get anything going down the final stretch, and that was their ultimate undoing. Well that and Jimmy G being the franchise quarterback. Who wants to make bets on who the new starting quarterback will be for the San Francisco 49ers next season?

Thoughts and prayers to Jared Goff. His sacrifice made this all possible.
