Well well well. We meet again. Klay Thompson has once again bailed out Steph Curry. Klay Thompson had 33 points with 16 of them coming in the 4th quarter. He shot 55% from three-point land in a heroic effort. He had to do this because Steph Curry was nowhere to be found going shooting 12% (1/8) from beyond the arc. Subtract his FTs and he only had 15 on 7/17 shooting. Not great.
We had an uncharacteristic performance for LeBron. But when you’ve been the best player around for two decades, you’re allowed a night or two off. But don’t let that distract you from the fact that Klay Thompson saved Steph and the entire Warriors franchise yet again. By far the most important part of that dynasty run. Remember when he saved Steph and the Warriors from being down 3-1 to the Thunder back in 2016. Well Kevin Durant helped too, can’t forget about that. Klay Thompson pretty much brought GS back from 3-1 against OKC in that conference finals. And here we are again in 2022, and nothing has changed. I know he’s apart of the splash bros, but Klay Thompson must be drinking from the fountain of youth or something.
