This certainly changes things. As if the AFC didn’t have enough quarterback talent. If you’re Denver. this was exactly what you’ve been looking for. Denver has needed a quarterback pretty much since Peyton Manning retired off into the sunset. They have a sound defense, and have been close to being able to compete without a real franchise quarterback. Now that they have one, this could be the piece they need in order to succeed.

Hopefully Russell Wilson can finally play a season without getting sacked 2,000+ times. But when you really start to think about it, it’s kinda wild. Back in Super Bowl XLVIII (48), Wilson helped Seattle in a 43-8 thwamping of the Denver Broncos. And now he is their franchise quarterback. Funny how things like that work out.

This definitely shakes up the AFC. It was already stacked, and now we can throw Denver into that hat. This just makes everything in the AFC spicier. The AFC West could have three teams in the playoffs next year.
Last year Matty Stafford was traded in the offseason and won the SB with his new team in his first year; Tom Brady the year before that. I’m not saying Denver is walking away with the Lombardi trophy or anything, but Denver is walking away with the Lombardi trophy. Can’t argue with arithmetic.
