The Masters Tournament is set for April 8-11th, but it doesn’t even feel like it. The Masters last year felt really weird too, but in a different sort of way. Last year, it was played around Thanksgiving, where it is traditionally played near the Easter holiday. Maybe it’s because it’ll be the second time the tournament is being played in six months, or it could be due to Tiger’s recent car accident (We hope you get well soon Big Cat). Whatever it is, I can’t exactly put my finger on it. The absence of the Big Cat will surely hang a cloud of worry over the tournament field, but life will have to go on.
With the chaotic series of events that has been the past year, it feels like it may be Rory’s time to shine at Augusta. Not sold on that? I don’t blame you. Rory doesn’t exactly have the best history with Augusta, and it has seemed at times that he’ll never grab that green jacket. But if you ask me, the stars might finally be aligning in his favor; and no it isn’t because of how he has been playing recently. It’s because of the weird times we find ourselves in. Nothing is going as expected, and it’s because of that reason I think Rory has a better than usual chance of victory this time around. Dustin broke the scoring record in last year’s tournament, and we didn’t think we’d see that. Speaking of Dustin, his chances are as good as anyone to repeat as the champion. He currently has the best odds to win, and it’s not for nothing. Collin Morikawa is another one of those guys that could sneak it and take it all. In all honesty, there are a lot of guys that could win this tournament.
I just hope we don’t get the answer going into the weekend, because that’s less fun for everyone involved. Sure the Masters is finally back where it belongs, but it doesn’t feel right. It almost feels too good to be true.

Weird times for sure, but I couldn’t agree with you more. Maybe a surprise win for Rory is in order.
